 FIXED WIRE TESTING

Our electricians can help you to keep your electrical systems in good working order, to ensure it is safe for the public and your employees, hence providing you with an EICR (electrical condition and installation report).

Fixed wire testing, or periodic testing, is an inspection and test of the wiring embedded in the fabric of the building. It connects your distribution boards to your sockets, lights, and other appliances. Fixed wire testing of all electrical installations is required to adhere to the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, and is required at intervals up to five years.

After your fixed wire test a full report will be issued detailing all of your distribution boards and circuits, and any faults present in the installation. This report will make you fully aware of the layout of your electrical system. This will help your in-house maintenance staff reduce production downtime and increase productivity – saving you time and money.

If any defects are discovered whilst carrying out the test, a full list of these defects will be compiled, and if required, a quotation for their rectification will be issued to you.

 PAT TESTING

We are able to increase the electrical safety in your workplace with our Portable Appliance Testing (PAT testing). Our nationwide coverage and quick service ensures that you can conveniently and efficiently reduce the risk of accidents.

It is recommended that equipment including stationary and IT equipment should be tested every 48 months and moveable equipment such as extension leads and portable equipment should be tested every 24 months.

 EMERGENCY LIGHTING

Emergency lighting systems have to comply with BS 5266, hence requiring system testing and inspection. Should your Emergency lighting system require maintenance or repair, we are able to offer a no obligation quotation, and carry out any necessary works.

"James came to do a full electrical safety assessment. He arrived on time, was friendly and polite, and very efficient. He did a great job, keeping me informed throughout of any issues that cropped up. Would definitely use him again and recommend him for future work."
